Daria Kosiek
Singer characterised by a unique, unparalleled voice. In 2020, she received a grant from the Polish Ministry of Culture and National Heritage. Her scenic charisma and vocal talent has allowed her to gain numerous awards: the Czesław Niemen Special Award during the “New Tradition” Competition (2021), first prize at the 56th Polish Folk Band and Singer Festival in Kazimierz Dolny (2022) and at the 53rd Polish Folklore Festival Sabałowe Bajania in Bukowina Tatrzańska (2019), as well as second prize at the 8th True Musician Tournament in Szczecin (2022). Even though Daria focuses mostly on work with Wernyhora, she occasionally performs with the folk group Kapela na Dobry Dzień and the Puszcza project, working together with the Somethingski Trio.
Adrianna KafeL – Woźniak
The group’s multi-instrumentalist who loves bowed string instruments. In our band, she plays, among others, the violin, the cello, the viola da gamba and several others. In the past she played together with KSU and was a part of pagan metal and dark folk projects.
Maciej Harna
Musicologist, educator and musician. His role in the band is primarily refined and unique musical arrangements; he also plays the hurdy-gurdy, mouth harp and handpan. In the past, he founded and led the multi-instrumental group Orkiestra Jednej Góry Matragony. As a musician, he has also worked with the Polish band KSU and the Slovak band KarpaTon. Maciej also received a grant from the Polish Minister of Culture and National Heritage. He organises the Matragona Open Art Workshop almost every summer.
Anna Oklejewicz
The band’s multi-instrumentalist has a passion for bowed string instruments. In our group, she plays, among others, the cello, the Biłgoraj suka, and the Płock fiddle. Adrianna is a graduate of the Academy of Music in Kraków, though she also studied at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna and at the Higher Conservatory of Music in A Coruña. Her diverse interests in early, classical, and folk music make Adrianna open to new musical experiences and keen to collaborate on a variety of different musical projects.
